How to Participate in the agnès films’ #FavWomanFilmmaker Campaign
In an effort to feature the work of women filmmakers bringing brilliant stories to screens big and small, we are conducting a four-day social media campaign from November 9 – November 12. The campaign will center around the hashtag #FavWomanFilmmaker. We are inviting people around the world to tell us who their favorite woman filmmaker is and why. Our hope is to bring awareness of the transcendent work being done by women behind the camera and to invite people to check it out and share it with others.
Here is how you can get involved:
1. Watch and share our daily campaign official videos which invite social media users to tell us who their favorite filmmakers are. This is our Monday video:
2. Follow our Twitter chats and Twitter interviews discussing the state of women in film. Click here to visit our campaign schedule. The chats and interviews feature filmmakers, scholars, and activists from around the world (United States, England, Spain, Peru, New Zealand, and other countries) and will also be released as storify links during every evening of the campaign.
3. Tell us who your favorite woman filmmaker is and why through Tweets, videos, and blog posts using the hashtag #FavWomanFilmmaker. Invite others to do the same.
