Irene Meltzer Richard is a freelance consultant in the areas of audience engagement, event management, and partnership development primarily for film festivals, independent film productions, and distribution companies. She also consults on multicultural projects in dance, theater and visual arts. For many years, she worked at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, managing ticketing for its year-round programming as well as the New York Film Festival and New Directors/New Films. Her latest passion projects are American Heard, a nonpartisan webseries of politically-oriented documentary shorts, and the Audubon Mural Project, a collaboration between the National Audubon Society and Gitler &_____ Gallery to create murals of climate-threatened birds throughout John James Audubon's old Harlem‐based neighborhood in New York City. Irene is a proud recipient of an Honorary Degree for her contributions to promoting Israeli Culture in America, as well as a M.Ed. in the Arts and Art Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
