Films for the Feminist Classroom proudly announces our 2010 summer supplement issue, featuring a collection of essays by creative professionals whose work making, teaching, and archiving film has a connection to the life and work of filmmaker and visual artist Barbara Hammer.

The issue presents an interview with Hammer, whose retrospective screening opens at MoMA in New York City September 15th. Hammer spoke with members of the Films for the Feminist Classroom Editorial Collective this spring about her experience with and suggestions for teaching film, about touring to promote her recent memoir Hammer! Making Movies out of Sex and Life, about mentoring new filmmakers, and about who she turns to for inspiration and advice.

The supplement is free, online at http://www.signs.rutgers.edu/ffc_home.html.
