#DirectedbyWomen Catalyst Barbara Ann O’Leary Requests Insight and Support to Attend Women’s Media Summit

logo for Women's Media SummitBarbara Ann O’Leary, one of agnès films’s close associates, is in need of financial assistance to attend the Women’s Media Summit March 31 through April 2, in Provincetown, Mass.

She is committed to being an active participant in the creation of a white paper that spells out real, actionable strategies with benchmarks for change.

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help defray her travel expenses. Whatever is contributed will be greatly appreciated.

Even if you are not able to attend the Women’s Media Summit in person, your insights are needed. You can help make this white paper a truly dynamic, representative document.

If you take a few moments to share some of your perceptions about where you think the Women’s Media Summit needs to put its attention, O’Leary promises to bring your perspective forward during the proceedings and so attendees can work together to make them a reality.

Through her work inspiring and facilitating the #DirectedbyWomen initiative Barbara Ann O’Leary has seen the complexity of the challenges women working—or seeking to work—in all aspects of film and entertainment media face. She is attentive to the different perspectives that deserve to honored and included at the Summit.

Barbara Ann O’Leary feels that together we can build a deep culture of appreciation and inclusivity within the film and entertainment media world.

Any additional funds raised will be put to excellent use in activities that will help the world to fall madly in love with films #DirectedbyWomen, including planning this September’s Worldwide Film Viewing Party, expanding the list of women who have directed film (closing in on 10,000 directors at the moment), and more.
