About me:

I’m a professor of cinema at Suffolk University, Boston, a long-time critic for the Boston Phoenix, and the programmer for the Boston University Cinematheque. I am the general editor of the University of Mississippi “Conversations with Filmmakers” series. I am the author of eight books on the Cinema. I was Acting Director of the Harvard Film Archive, and a Fulbright scholar in ex-Yugoslavia.
